What Matterlyzer does

Matterlyzer helps device engineers, QA teams, and integrators inspect Matter fabrics, nodes, endpoints, clusters, diagnostics, and execution logs on Apple platforms.

The app uses Apple official Matter APIs and the system MatterSupport commissioning flow.

What the app stores on device

The app stores device inspection data, cache snapshots, and execution logs on device so previously seen nodes can render and operator workflows can be reviewed locally.

  • Inventory snapshots and cache records
  • Execution logs with redacted commissioning-sensitive payloads
  • Temporary commissioning handoff metadata in the configured App Group only long enough to complete controller handoff

What Matterlyzer does not currently do

The current repository does not show analytics, crash reporting, cloud account sync, or a remote log upload path.

  • No analytics SDK
  • No advertising SDK
  • No crash reporting SDK
  • No cloud sync or remote account system

Sensitive data handling

The app is intended to expose developer-relevant Matter protocol data such as node IDs, endpoint structure, cluster IDs, attribute values, and event history.

It should not expose Wi-Fi passwords, Thread credentials, setup passcodes, access tokens, session secrets, or similar sensitive secrets after use.

Permissions

Permissions are used only for product capabilities described in the app.

  • Camera: scan Matter setup codes
  • Bluetooth: commissioning workflows and BLE diagnostics
  • Local Network: Matter or Thread discovery and device communication through authorized paths
  • Location When In Use: current-network Wi-Fi diagnostics when the platform allows it

Website behavior

The website at matterlyzer.com is a static product site.

  • No analytics scripts
  • No advertising pixels
  • No tracking cookies
